Fondation Guillaume was created for one simple reason: To give young hairdressers the opportunity to learn, create, connect and grow.

Education is at the heart of everything we do. Through seminars, masterclasses, competitions, exchanges, mentorship and international experiences, we open doors to new skills , new ideas and new friendships.

But Fondation Guillaume is more than education. It is a community.

Dear Friends of Fondation Guillaume,

As summer slowly begins to draw to an end, we can already feel September approaching – and with it, the renewed energy of our salons, our artistic projects, and the many events that bring our profession together. At Fondation Guillaume, there is certainly no summer break for creativity! In this edition, we are taking you behind the scenes of the Junior Forum Seminar 2026, with a detailed look at the programme awaiting our Super Stars in Paris. Among the many highlights, we are especially pleased to introduce two of the inspiring professionals who will join us for a special moment with our juniors: our Pep Talkers, who will share their experience, their journey, and their vision of what it means to build a career within our profession and community.

We also continue our educational journey with a new online seminar now available on our YouTube channel, offering practical inspiration that can be taken straight back to the salon.

Another important step for Fondation Guillaume will be revealed in this edition: the launch of our FG country logos, a major element in developing our global visual identity. This is more than a new graphic tool – it is a way of giving each national FG group its own identity while making our international community instantly recognizable as one.

And as September brings back the frenzy of business meetings, artistic events, education and competitions, I am certain that the months ahead will give us plenty to create, share and celebrate together.

Art has no rest with Fondation Guillaume.

I wish you all a beautiful end to the summer and an inspiring return to the exciting season ahead. I look forward to seeing our juniors, colleagues and friends from around the world very soon.

Cirque d’Hiver Bouglione Intercoiffure Event starts at 4pm

While the Junior Forum Seminar offers many highlights, one experience will stand above all others.

At the centre of the programme is the live performance of the 10 Super Stars on the stage of the legendary Cirque d’Hiver Bouglione in Paris.

Few venues in Europe combine history, prestige, and artistic emotion in such a unique way. Performing in this iconic arena before an international audience represents a defining milestone for many young artists.

For one unforgettable moment, the spotlight belongs entirely to them. It is an experience designed not only to showcase talent, but to inspire future careers, encourage ambition, and remind these young professionals that dreams become achievable. When passion is matched with dedication.

The Junior Forum Seminar is therefore much more than a prize. It is the beginning of a journey – one that Fondation Guillaume hopes will inspire its Super Stars to keep learning, keep creating, and keep pushing the limits of what they believe possible.

MEET OUR PEP TALKERS.

A pep talk with two renowned hairdressers, Mathew Johnson from Australia and Heidi Breivik-Wetzel from the United States.

Both will share their personal experiences with the juniors, including what has led them to become involved with Intercoiffure and Fondation Guillaume, and why education, community and the people we surround ourselves with can make such a difference throughout a career.

Heidi Breivik-Wetzel

Has dedicated 34 years to the hair industry as a hair colour designer and educator in Minnesota, USA.

Throughout her career, she has remained committed to continuous education and to supporting new talent.

She has competed in numerous competitions, judged hair shows across the United States and presented her work internationally, including on a South Africa/Oceania stage.

Her involvement with Intercoiffure and Fondation Guillaume has also opened the door to rewarding professional connections and new learning experiences.

Mathew Johnson

Based in Adelaide, Australia, he is an internationally recognised hairstylist and educator with nearly 20 years of experience in the industry. He leads a team of highly trained stylists and colourists and has developed a strong reputation for bespoke, premium hairdressing.

Alongside his salon activities, Mat has created his own range of natural skincare and haircare products, reflecting his salon’s eco-conscious approach.

But Mat’s connection with Fondation Guillaume goes even further: he was once a Fondation Guillaume junior himself, participating in a previous Junior Forum Seminar and has become an International Fashion Team member. Today, he has built an internationally recognised career. His journey is a powerful example of where the opportunities and experiences offered to young talents can lead.

OUR EDUCATION FOCUS – SHORT HAIR STYLES

THIS MONTH, WE ARE DELIGHTED TO WELCOME KATI SUOKAS FROM FINLAND AN ACTIVE INTERCOIFFURE FINLAND MEMBER AND FG LEADER IN FINAND, TO OUR EDUCATION FOCUS.

KATI IS CURRENTLY COMPLETING HER PATH TOWARDS BECOMING A MEMBER OF THE FG INTERNATIONAL FASHION TEAM, AND SHE WILL SOON JOIN OUR MENTOR S’ TEAM, HELPING GUIDE THE YOUNG HAIRDRESSERS WHO WON THE 2026 WORLD PHOTO. COMPETITION AS THEY PREPARE FOR THEIR PARIS JUNIOR FORUM SEMINAR EXPERIENCE.
